Tel Aviv Diary - February 13-17, 2011 - Karen Alkalay-Gut

If I could I would bring home half of Walmart, some Costco, some Marshalls, a little TJMax, and a pharmacy. But we're limited in luggage, very limited. So I look around enviously, talk to myself alot about practicality and the advantages of living on a small budget and pretend I'm just on Safari. But I'd really like to buy buy buy. In the old days I had to watch television all the time too because it was so rare and limited in Israel, but now I'm sure TV is much better in Israel than in the US, so I live without the bland and banal commercials, and don't even watch all of the news once it shifts to Lindsey Lohan and which nanny gave what medicine to which children. Anyway Egypt is old news even to CNN and nothing else seems to be happening with the rest of the world.

I'll be off line for another day or two while we're traveling and then hope to catch up.
